Covid-19 Update - 11 July 2020

Re-Opening the Club

REXS - New BarThis was a very difficult decision for the committee to make but on reflection, it was the right the one to make.

We have been working very hard behind the scenes (more details to come) and we were looking forward to the date when the Government would allow us to open. Unfortunately, with all the safeguards, rules and regulations attached to re-opening, it just wasn't prudent or viable to open the club.

Rest assured that we will be back and better than ever before, but in the meantime please be patient and understanding.

Notice to Members

Dear Club Members,

We have taken the decision not to re-open the Club on the 4th July and to remain closed for at least the next 3 weeks.

Opening and complying with government guidelines to make the Club 'Covid-secure' would put a huge strain on our finances and this could result in the club being closed permanently which is something we are fighting so hard to prevent. We understand Members will be disappointed to hear this, but we need to concentrate on our long term future.

Our biggest consideration is, of course, the safety of our staff and members. Covid-19 is still with us and this whole thing is not yet over.

We will review the situation on a weekly basis and we will do everything we can to open when it is viable and prudent to do so.

We look forward to the time when we can welcome back all our members and we hope that you understand that this was a very difficult but necessary decision to make.

Kind regards,
The Committee.
